Technologies
Having worked with Wysdom for a number of years in
a consultancy role, I purchased the company in 2016
when the owners decided to retire. By this time, the
passion had gone out of the business, the legacy
Practice Management System software product was
badly in need of redevelopment and a significant
opportunity for expanding equipment sales was being
ignored.
Over the next four years, I returned the company to
profitability by expanding the product portfolio, built
a strong financial foundation to allow the
development of the new software system to be self-
funded and scoped out our new CloudPlus PMS, part
of which included SyncTech DualHybrid®, a
revolutionary ‘mini-cloud’ on-premise hub solution
which allows practices to continue operating normally
even if the Internet fails.
This in itself was enough of a challenge. Add in the
lasting effects of the pandemic and it became a
lesson in creative thinking, resilience, determination,
persuasiveness and – sometimes – sheer bloody
mindedness! It’s too much of a story for here but I’m
happy to share more over a coffee…
